Confirm Crabgrass Stage and Turf Tolerance

Identify crabgrass rather than relying only on a grassy appearance, then check the growth stage and turf species. Compare selective liquid and granular options, active ingredients, application intervals, and control of related grassy weeds such as foxtail or goosegrass when listed.

Reduce Stress During Treatment

Review label directions for temperature, drought stress, mowing, watering, adjuvants, reseeding, and repeat applications. Avoid treating turf that is heat-stressed or otherwise outside label conditions, and keep the application off ornamental plants and other sensitive areas.
