Q4 Plus Turf Herbicide is a selective post-emergent herbicide formulated with four active ingredients to control both grassy and broadleaf weeds in established turfgrass. Powered by quinclorac, sulfentrazone, 2,4-D, and dicamba, Q4 Plus provides multiple modes of action for professional turf weed control in cool-season turf and labeled warm-season turfgrass.

Q4 Plus is especially useful for difficult summer and fall weed-control programs where grassy weeds and broadleaf weeds are present at the same time. It controls or suppresses crabgrass, yellow nutsedge, foxtail, barnyardgrass, broadleaf signalgrass, clover, chickweed, spurge, bindweed, plantain, dandelion, ground ivy, oxalis, Virginia buttonweed, wild violet, and many other listed weeds.

Q4 Plus Turf Herbicide is labeled for use in established warm-season and cool-season turfgrass across residential/domestic sites, ornamental turf sites, institutional sites, non-cropland sites, and commercial sod production. Labeled site examples include apartment complexes, condominiums, residential turf, parks, streets, retail outlets, cemeteries, industrial and institutional buildings, recreation areas, fairgrounds, areas adjacent to athletic fields and paved areas, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, museums, libraries, sport facilities, golf course fairways and roughs, office buildings, highway rights-of-way, roadsides, airports, military installations, and commercial sod production.

Target Weeds

Q4 Plus controls or suppresses many grassy and broadleaf weeds including large crabgrass, smooth crabgrass, barnyardgrass, green foxtail, yellow foxtail, giant foxtail, broadleaf signalgrass, yellow nutsedge, white clover, chickweed, spurge, bindweed, black medic, broadleaf plantain, buckhorn plantain, dandelion, ground ivy, henbit, knotweed, lambsquarters, lespedeza, mallow, morningglory, mouseear chickweed, oxalis, Pennsylvania smartweed, pigweed, pineappleweed, poison ivy, poison oak, purslane, ragweed, shepherd’s purse, speedwell, thistles, Virginia buttonweed, wild carrot, wild garlic, wild onion, wild violet, yarrow, yellow rocket, and other listed weeds.

Application Notes

Apply Q4 Plus to young, actively growing weeds for best results. For grassy weeds and yellow nutsedge, optimum timing depends on weed growth stage. Early summer treatments are generally more effective, while summer applications to older, drought-stressed grassy weeds may be less effective. Late summer applications to mature crabgrass can be effective according to the label.

For broadcast applications on cool-season turfgrass, the label lists 7 to 8 pints per acre, or 2.6 to 3.0 fl oz per 1,000 square feet. For Bermudagrass and zoysiagrass, the label lists 5 to 7 pints per acre, or 1.8 to 2.6 fl oz per 1,000 square feet. Do not broadcast apply when temperatures are above 90°F. Delay mowing 2 days before and until 2 days after application, and do not irrigate within 24 hours after application for best results.
