MSM 60WDG Select Herbicide
MSM 60WDG Select Herbicide is a selective postemergence herbicide powered by metsulfuron-methyl for control of many grassy weeds, broadleaf weeds, brush species, and noxious weeds in labeled turf, non-crop, industrial, rangeland, pasture, native grass, and vegetation management sites. As a Group 2 ALS/AHAS inhibitor, MSM 60WDG Select provides systemic activity and is absorbed primarily through foliage, with additional root uptake.
MSM 60WDG Select is labeled for professional turf and ornamental turf uses such as lawns, parks, cemeteries, golf course fairways, aprons, tees, roughs, and sod farms. It is especially useful for selective control of bahiagrass in bermudagrass turf and for control or suppression of weeds such as ryegrass, foxtail, clover, chickweed, dandelion, spurge, Virginia buttonweed, wild garlic, wild onion, thistles, plantain, and many other listed weeds.
Features & Benefits
✓ Selective systemic herbicide for labeled turf, non-crop, industrial, rangeland, pasture, and native grass uses
✓ Contains 60% metsulfuron-methyl, a Group 2 ALS/AHAS inhibitor for broad-spectrum postemergence weed control
✓ Controls or suppresses many grassy and broadleaf weeds including bahiagrass, ryegrass, foxtail, clover, chickweed, dandelion, spurge, thistles, wild garlic, and wild onion
✓ Provides selective bahiagrass control in bermudagrass turf where bahiagrass is not the desired turf species
✓ Labeled for professional turf sites including lawns, parks, cemeteries, golf course fairways, aprons, tees, roughs, and sod farms
✓ Offers growth suppression and seedhead inhibition in well-established fescue and bluegrass turf for chemical mowing programs
✓ Water-dispersible granule formulation mixes in water and can be used alone or in labeled tank mixtures for broader control
✓ Very low use rates make it a practical option for precision weed-control programs where label directions are carefully followed

Application Notes
Apply MSM 60WDG Select to actively growing weeds for best results. The label states that the product is absorbed primarily through foliage and to a lesser degree through roots. Growth of susceptible plants is inhibited within hours, but visible symptoms may take several weeks, and final control of perennial weeds or woody plants may occur in the following growing season.
For professional turf uses, follow the turf-specific directions carefully. Kentucky bluegrass and fine fescue may be treated at 0.25 to 0.5 oz per acre, with no more than 0.5 oz per acre within a 9-month period. St. Augustinegrass, bermudagrass, and zoysiagrass may be treated at 0.25 to 1.0 oz per acre. For selective bahiagrass control in bermudagrass turf, use 0.25 to 0.75 oz per acre, with repeat treatment in 4 to 6 weeks if needed. Do not apply to turf less than 1 year old.
