Turf Plant Growth Regulators

Turf Plant Growth Regulators

Turf plant growth regulators can reduce vertical growth, influence mowing frequency, improve turf density, manage certain seedheads, or support specific turf-management programs. Effects vary by active ingredient, turf species, rate, temperature, and application interval.

Choose the Growth Response You Need

Determine whether the goal is clipping reduction, seedhead suppression, growth regulation around obstacles, improved density, or another labeled use. Compare active ingredients, growth stage, turf tolerance, expected response, interval, and whether the program requires repeated applications or growing-degree-day tracking.

Avoid Over-Regulation and Stress

Apply uniformly with calibrated equipment and review label restrictions for stressed, newly established, dormant, or temperature-sensitive turf. Follow rate, interval, mowing, irrigation, tank-mix, and maximum seasonal-use directions. Uneven application can produce visible differences in growth and color.
