SpeedZone EW Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf

SpeedZone EW is a premium post-emergent broadleaf herbicide featuring advanced Emulsion-in-Water (EW) technology for faster, broader weed control in established cool- and warm-season turfgrass. Its improved formulation provides excellent spray coverage, reduced odor, and lower VOCs compared to traditional emulsifiable concentrate formulations while delivering rapid control of more than 90 labeled broadleaf weeds, plus goosegrass and nimblewill.

Powered by four complementary active ingredients, SpeedZone EW produces visible weed injury within hours and complete control in as little as 7 to 10 days under favorable conditions. It performs exceptionally well during cooler weather when many herbicides become less effective, making it an excellent choice for professional lawn care, golf courses, athletic fields, sod farms, and ornamental turf. The versatile EW formulation is compatible with both conventional and low-volume spray equipment and does not require the addition of a surfactant.

Features & Benefits

Controls more than 90 broadleaf weeds plus goosegrass and nimblewill with one application.

Advanced Emulsion-in-Water (EW) formulation provides improved spray coverage, lower odor, and reduced VOC emissions.

Fast visible weed injury within hours with complete control typically occurring in 7–10 days.

Outstanding cool-weather performance extends the effective application window.

Four active ingredients provide multiple modes of action for broad-spectrum weed control and resistance management.

Safe for use on established cool- and warm-season turfgrass species listed on the label.

Compatible with conventional, backpack, pump-up, and low-volume sprayers without requiring a surfactant.

Labeled Use Sites

SpeedZone EW is labeled for use on established residential and commercial lawns, golf courses (excluding sensitive turf restrictions), athletic fields, parks, schools, playgrounds, cemeteries, apartment complexes, condominiums, institutional properties, office complexes, industrial sites, fairgrounds, recreation areas, commercial sod farms, airports, military installations, utility rights-of-way, railroad rights-of-way, roadsides, highway medians, fencerows, and other labeled ornamental turf and non-crop areas.

Target Weeds

Controls or suppresses more than 90 broadleaf weeds including white clover, dandelion, spotted spurge, prostrate spurge, dollarweed (pennywort), ground ivy, chickweed, henbit, plantain, oxalis, wild violet, knotweed, purslane, ragweed, shepherd's purse, black medic, burdock, curly dock, poison ivy, poison oak, Virginia buttonweed, lespedeza, mallow, pigweed, wild garlic, wild onion, Canada thistle, buckhorn plantain, carpetweed, lawn burweed, horseweed, and many other labeled species. Also provides post-emergent control of goosegrass and nimblewill.

Application Notes & Rates

Apply to actively growing weeds for optimum performance. Visible symptoms generally appear within hours, with complete weed control occurring in approximately 7 to 10 days under favorable growing conditions. Rainfast in as little as 3 hours. Delay mowing for 1 to 2 days before and after application for maximum effectiveness. Do not apply to newly seeded turf until after the second mowing. Areas may be reseeded one week following application. No surfactant is required or recommended, as adjuvants may increase the potential for temporary turf injury.
