Labeled Use Sites

Serata is intended for commercial use on turfgrass in golf courses including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and naturalized areas; lawns and landscape turf around residential, public, industrial, and commercial properties; sports fields; cemeteries; recreational areas; parks; turf seed farms; and commercial sod farms. Applications by homeowners to residential turf are prohibited. In New York State, use is limited to golf course turfgrass.

Target Diseases

Serata controls labeled Pythium foliar blight, Pythium damping-off, Pythium root dysfunction, and Pythium root rot. Application timing, irrigation, and retreatment intervals vary by disease, so treatments should be matched to the specific Pythium disease and environmental conditions present.

Application Notes

Apply Serata at 0.6 to 0.8 oz per 1,000 sq ft, equivalent to 26.1 to 34.8 oz per acre, depending on target disease and treatment interval. For Pythium foliar blight, apply preventively during periods of high temperature and humidity favorable for disease development and repeat on a 14- to 21-day interval. For Pythium damping-off on newly seeded turf, apply immediately after seeding and follow with 1/8 inch of irrigation.

For Pythium root dysfunction, apply preventively on a 21- to 28-day schedule during fall and spring when average daily soil temperatures are between 50°F and 75°F, then follow with 1/8 inch of irrigation. For Pythium root rot, apply preventively on a 14-day schedule when conditions favor disease development and immediately follow treatment with 1/8 inch of irrigation. Do not exceed 2.4 oz per 1,000 sq ft per year, and observe a minimum 14-day retreatment interval. Always read and follow the complete product label.
