Labeled Use Sites

Overture 35 WP is labeled only for enclosed commercial greenhouses. Labeled ornamental uses include flowering plants, foliage plants, bedding plants, groundcovers, shrubs, ornamental trees, and non-bearing fruit, nut trees, and vines grown indoors. Overture is not labeled for residential use or homeowner application.

Target Pests

Overture 35 WP controls thrips including chilli thrips and Western flower thrips. Labeled lepidopteran larvae include azalea caterpillar, beet armyworm, cabbage looper, fall webworm, gypsy moth, Nantucket pine tip moth, southern armyworm, spruce budworm, tent caterpillars, tobacco budworm, tomato hornworm, and yellowstriped armyworm.

Application Notes

Apply Overture 35 WP at 8 oz per 100 gallons of water, using four 2 oz water-soluble packets per 100 gallons. Apply as a foliar spray to provide uniform coverage of all plant surfaces to the point of runoff. For thrips, make the first application when pests begin to appear. If necessary, make a second application 14 to 28 days later, using the shorter interval for established infestations or rapidly growing crops.

For lepidopteran larvae, apply when larvae are small, exposed, and actively feeding. Do not make more than three applications per cropping cycle or more than three applications within six months. Rotate Overture with insecticides having different modes of action. Water-soluble packets should be added unopened to the spray tank and allowed to dissolve completely before other compatible tank-mix ingredients are added.
