Kabuto Fungicide SC

Kabuto Fungicide SC is a professional systemic turf fungicide containing 36% isofetamid for highly targeted control of dollar spot and spring dead spot. Its FRAC Group 7 SDHI chemistry provides preventive, systemic, and curative activity for use on golf courses, sod farms, seed farms, professional sports fields, residential lawns, and commercial lawns.

Kabuto is formulated as a flowable suspension concentrate containing 3.33 lb of isofetamid per gallon. Target Diseases

Kabuto is specifically labeled for control of dollar spot and spring dead spot. Dollar spot programs are designed for preventive or very early disease development, while spring dead spot treatments are applied preventively prior to dormancy or when soil temperatures decline to the labeled threshold.

Application Notes

For dollar spot, apply 0.4 to 0.5 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft, equivalent to 17.4 to 21.8 fl oz per acre, on a 14-day interval. Apply preventively or in the very early stages of disease development. Use the higher labeled rate during prolonged periods favorable for disease development.

For spring dead spot, Kabuto may be applied as either a single preventive treatment or a two-application program. Single-treatment Program A uses 3.2 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft. Program B uses an initial treatment of 0.5 to 2.0 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft followed by 0.5 to 1.2 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft 14 to 28 days later. Begin applications approximately one month before dormancy of southern-type turfgrasses or when soil temperatures decline to approximately 65°F. Immediately irrigate spring dead spot treatments with 1/8 inch of water.

Apply Kabuto in 2 to 4 gal of water per 1,000 sq ft. Do not make more than two consecutive applications of Kabuto or other Group 7 fungicides before rotating to an effective fungicide with a different mode of action. Do not apply through irrigation systems or aerially. Always read and follow the complete product label.
