Fusilade DX Herbicide

Fusilade DX Herbicide is a selective post-emergence grass herbicide powered by fluazifop-P-butyl for control of annual and perennial grass weeds in labeled crops, fallow land, non-crop areas, and nonbearing crop sites. Fusilade DX provides systemic movement from treated foliage into the shoots, roots, rhizomes, stolons, and growing points of susceptible grass weeds.

With its quick mode of action and strong post-emergence activity, Fusilade DX is a proven choice for managing troublesome grasses in crops such as cotton, soybeans, peanuts, vegetables, berries, citrus, and other labeled sites. It works in conventional tillage, minimum tillage, and no-till plantings, and offers an alternative site of action to glyphosate for grass weed resistance-management programs.

Features & Benefits

Selective post-emergence grass herbicide for annual and perennial grass weed control

Contains fluazifop-P-butyl, a Group 1 ACCase-inhibiting herbicide with systemic activity

Moves into shoots, roots, rhizomes, stolons, and growing points for effective control of actively growing grasses

Works in conventional tillage, minimum tillage, and no-till production systems

Controls many labeled annual grasses including barnyardgrass, crabgrass, foxtail, goosegrass, fall panicum, volunteer corn, volunteer cereals, shattercane, and wild oats

Controls or suppresses tough perennial grasses such as bermudagrass, quackgrass, rhizome johnsongrass, and wirestem muhly where labeled

Tank-mix flexibility with many labeled broadleaf herbicides and use as a dicamba herbicide tank-mix option in cotton and soybeans

Rainfast in 1 hour after application

Labeled Use Sites

Fusilade DX Herbicide is labeled for use in numerous agricultural crops and sites including asparagus, bananas, plantains, bushberries, caneberries, carrots, brassica head and stem vegetables, brassica leafy greens, leaf petiole vegetables, citrus, coffee in Hawaii, cotton, dry beans, fine fescue grown for seed in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, lettuce, low-growing berries, macadamia nuts, bulb onions, green onions, papaya, peanuts, pecans, small fruit climbing crops except fuzzy kiwifruit, soybeans, and other labeled crops and non-crop uses.

Target Weeds

Fusilade DX controls many annual and perennial grass weeds, including barnyardgrass, broadleaf signalgrass, large crabgrass, smooth crabgrass, southern crabgrass, tropical crabgrass, downy brome, fall panicum, field sandbur, giant foxtail, green foxtail, yellow foxtail, goosegrass, Italian ryegrass, itchgrass, seedling johnsongrass, junglerice, red rice, shattercane, sorghum almum, southern sandbur, Texas panicum, volunteer barley, volunteer corn, volunteer milo, volunteer oats, volunteer rye, volunteer wheat, wild proso millet, witchgrass, wild oats, woolly cupgrass, littleseed canarygrass, rabbitfootgrass, bermudagrass, quackgrass, rhizome johnsongrass, and wirestem muhly.

Application Notes

Apply Fusilade DX to actively growing grass weeds before they exceed the labeled growth stage. Thorough coverage of grass foliage is important for best performance. Fusilade DX does not control broadleaf weeds or sedges, so tank mixes or sequential applications may be needed where broadleaf weeds, sedges, or mixed weed populations are present.

Always use a labeled spray additive. The label requires either crop oil concentrate, nonionic surfactant, or another locally supported compatible adjuvant that meets label requirements. For ground applications, the label lists crop oil concentrate at 0.5% to 1% v/v or nonionic surfactant at 0.25% to 0.5% v/v. For aerial applications, add 1 pint per acre of crop oil concentrate or nonionic surfactant. Follow all crop-specific rates, PHI, tank-mix restrictions, and application directions.
