Quali-Pro Fosetyl-Al 80 WDG is a professional systemic fungicide containing 80% aluminum tris (O-ethyl phosphonate) for preventive disease management in turf, golf courses, nurseries, greenhouses, ornamentals, and bedding plants. Its highly systemic phosphonate chemistry provides movement throughout treated plants while helping stimulate natural plant-defense mechanisms for long-lasting protection against diseases including Pythium, Yellow Tuft, and Phytophthora.

A generic alternative to Aliette WDG and Aliette Signature, Fosetyl-Al 80 WDG provides true systemic protection from treated foliage throughout the plant while promoting vigorous, stress-tolerant turf. It is especially valuable as a foundation fungicide in preventive Pythium programs and summer stress-management programs where long-lasting systemic activity and a distinct FRAC P07 mode of action are desired.

Labeled Use Sites

Fosetyl-Al 80 WDG is labeled for professional turfgrass on golf courses, sod farms, commercial turf areas, industrial and municipal turf, and other labeled non-residential turf sites. The current Quali-Pro product program also supports nursery, greenhouse, ornamental, bedding-plant, and conifer-nursery uses.

Conifer nursery applications include Douglas fir, spruce, and pine for Phytophthora root rot using foliar or pre-transplant dip treatments. Fosetyl-Al 80 WDG is not labeled for use on home or residential sites under the supplied EPA label.

Target Diseases

Turf Diseases: Pythium diseases including Pythium blight and Pythium root rot, and Yellow Tuft. Fosetyl-Al 80 WDG may also be used in labeled tank-mix programs for Summer Stress Complex or Summer Decline involving Pythium, anthracnose, and Rhizoctonia species, as well as anthracnose and bentgrass dead spot.

Ornamental & Nursery Diseases: Phytophthora root rot is specifically labeled in conifer nursery programs. Current Quali-Pro product literature also identifies Phytophthora, downy mildew, fire blight, and bacterial blight among diseases addressed in ornamental and bedding-plant programs. Follow the current crop- and disease-specific label directions because control versus suppression claims may vary by disease and application program.

Application Notes

For Pythium diseases and Yellow Tuft in turf, apply 4 oz of Fosetyl-Al 80 WDG per 1,000 sq ft on a 14-day interval or 8 oz per 1,000 sq ft on a 21-day interval. Apply in 1 to 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq ft with sufficient spray volume for thorough foliar coverage. Begin preventive programs when environmental conditions favor disease development and allow treated foliage to dry before watering or mowing.

Do not add stickers, extenders, wetting agents, or surfactants to Fosetyl-Al 80 WDG. Copper-containing fungicides can cause phytotoxicity when combined with fosetyl-Al; do not tank mix with copper products and follow the label's separation and buffering directions when copper fungicides are used before or after treatment. Some other fungicide formulations also have specific incompatibility restrictions, so perform a compatibility test before preparing unfamiliar tank mixtures.
