Fascination Plant Growth Regulator is a professional ornamental PGR containing equal portions of 6-benzyladenine (6BA) and gibberellins A4+A7 for managing plant growth, reducing leaf yellowing, delaying flower senescence, and improving finished-plant appearance. It is especially useful in lilies, poinsettias, bedding plants, annual and perennial potted crops, field-grown ornamentals, and bulb crops.

Fascination supplies supplemental cytokinin and gibberellin activity directly to treated plant tissue. Depending on crop, rate, and timing, it can help maintain green foliage, prolong flowering, promote stem elongation, increase leaf and bract size, and improve the marketability of ornamental crops. Because the active ingredients are not readily translocated throughout the plant, thorough and uniform foliar coverage is essential.

Labeled Use Sites

Fascination is labeled for ornamental production including Easter lilies, LA Hybrid lilies, Oriental lilies, poinsettias, bedding plants, annual and perennial potted crops, field-grown ornamentals, and bulb crops. It is intended for professional ornamental and greenhouse production and must not be applied to food crops.

Plant Growth & Quality Uses

In Easter and LA Hybrid lilies, Fascination may be used preventively to reduce lower-leaf yellowing and delay flower senescence. Early-season applications are directed to lower foliage before visible bud, mid-season applications are made around the visible-bud stage, and late-season applications may contact foliage and flower buds to help maintain foliage quality and prolong flowering during cooling, shipping, and post-harvest handling.

In poinsettias, Fascination may be used to increase stem length, leaf size, and bract size, while late-season applications can help expand bracts and petioles. On bedding plants, potted crops, field-grown ornamentals, and bulb crops, Fascination promotes plant growth and stem elongation. Excessive rates can cause unwanted stretching, so rates should be established carefully on a small number of plants before broad-scale use.

Application Notes

Plant response depends strongly on spray volume, rate, timing, plant vigor, environmental conditions, and the specific tissue treated. For general foliar applications, the label calls for uniform application of 2 quarts of finished spray solution per 100 sq ft of bench area. Apply during the morning or late afternoon when drying conditions are slower and plants are not under environmental stress.

Fascination is not readily translocated after foliar application, so only treated plant tissue receives the intended response. Do not apply through irrigation systems, do not use on food crops, and do not mix with pesticides or fertilizers unless specifically authorized by the label. For lilies, avoid excessive contact with immature foliage because unwanted stem elongation may result. For poinsettias, a wetting agent is required where the label specifies complete leaf or bract wetting.
