Dylox 6.2 Granular Insecticide

Dylox 6.2 Granular Insecticide is a professional granular turf insecticide powered by trichlorfon for fast curative control of white grubs, mole crickets, sod webworms, cutworms, armyworms, and other listed pests of turfgrass. Designed for rescue applications when turf insects are already present, Dylox 6.2 controls damaging insects below the soil surface and provides control of Japanese beetle grubs.

Dylox 6.2 is a strong choice for curative grub control in labeled turf areas where active feeding damage is occurring and quick action is needed. Once watered in, the active ingredient moves through the thatch and into the root zone where white grubs, annual bluegrass weevil larvae, billbug larvae, mole crickets, chinch bugs, and other listed turf pests are active.

Features & Benefits

Fast curative granular insecticide for white grubs and listed turf-feeding insects

Contains trichlorfon, an IRAC Group 1B organophosphate insecticide with contact and ingestion activity

Controls damaging insects below the soil surface, including white grub larvae and other root-zone pests

Effective rescue option when white grubs, mole crickets, ABW larvae, billbug larvae, chinch bugs, or cranberry girdler are present

Also controls surface-feeding insects including sod webworms, cutworms, and armyworms

Granular formulation can be applied with calibrated broadcast or drop spreaders for uniform turf coverage

One 30 lb bag treats 10,000 sq ft for white grubs, annual bluegrass weevil, chinch bugs, cranberry girdler, and mole crickets

Labeled Use Sites

Dylox 6.2 Granular Insecticide is labeled for turfgrass where pests have been seen or found, excluding turf sites where application is not allowed by the label. The label includes use on turfgrass for control of white grubs, mole crickets, sod webworms, cutworms, armyworms, annual bluegrass weevil larvae, billbug larvae, chinch bugs, cranberry girdler, and other listed turfgrass pests. For golf courses, broadcast use is limited to tees and greens, and fairway use is limited to spot treatments.

Target Pests

Dylox 6.2 Granular Insecticide controls white grub larvae including larvae of Asiatic garden beetle, black turfgrass ataenius, European chafer, green June beetle, Japanese beetle, Aphodius species, May or June beetles, Phyllophaga species, northern masked chafer, southern masked chafer, Cyclocephala species, Oriental beetle, and sugarcane grubs. It also controls mole crickets, annual bluegrass weevil larvae, billbug larvae, cranberry girdler, chinch bugs, sod webworms, cutworms, and armyworms.

Application Notes

Apply Dylox 6.2 Granular Insecticide uniformly over the treatment area using properly calibrated granular application equipment. Both drop-type and rotary-type spreaders may be used, but do not use spreaders that apply material in concentrated bands. Do not apply with hand-held or chest-mounted spreaders.

For white grubs, annual bluegrass weevil, chinch bugs, cranberry girdler, mole crickets, and other listed root-feeding insects, apply 3 lbs per 1,000 sq ft. Make sure there is no more than 1/2 inch of thatch present at the time of application. Under dry conditions, prewater before application for white grub and weevil larvae control. Water in the same day after application with enough water to thoroughly wet the remaining thatch and move the product into the root zone.

For sod webworms, cranberry girdler, cutworms, and armyworms, apply 2 to 3 lbs per 1,000 sq ft. To release the active ingredient from the granule, water in after application on the same day with enough water to thoroughly wet the remaining thatch. To control multiple generations of sod webworm larvae, additional treatments at 30- to 40-day intervals during the summer may be required, but do not make more than 3 applications per calendar year.
