Cyper WSP Insecticide

Cyper WSP is a professional insecticide containing 40% cypermethrin for fast knockdown and long-lasting residual control of more than 30 labeled indoor and outdoor pests. Its IRAC Group 3A synthetic pyrethroid chemistry acts on the insect nervous system through contact or ingestion, providing dependable control of ants, cockroaches, spiders, scorpions, fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, flies, and many other structural, perimeter, lawn, and ornamental pests.

Packaged in convenient premeasured water-soluble packets, Cyper WSP eliminates the need to manually measure loose powder and simplifies preparation of 0.1% and 0.2% spray solutions. A cost-effective generic alternative to Demon® WP, Cyper WSP is labeled for professional pest-control programs in and around residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial structures, as well as lawns, landscape vegetation, ornamental gardens, and other labeled outdoor areas.

Labeled Use Sites

Cyper WSP is labeled for use in, on, and around residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings and their immediate surroundings. Indoor sites include apartments, factories, garages, hotels and motels, offices, warehouses, kennels, schools, correctional facilities, laboratories, storage rooms, nursing homes, hospitals subject to occupancy restrictions, and non-food areas of food-handling establishments such as restaurants and food-processing facilities.

Outdoor uses include building exteriors, foundations, porches, patios, screens, window and door frames, eaves, garages, lawns, turf, landscape vegetation, ornamental gardens, parks, yards, and perimeter vegetation. The label also permits use in non-commercial greenhouses and interior plantscapes for plants grown for aesthetic purposes, but not on plants being grown for sale, commercial seed production, research, or food/feed production.

Target Pests

Cyper WSP controls labeled ants, aphids, assassin bugs, boxelder bugs, California oakworms, centipedes, chiggers, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, elm leaf beetles, firebrats, fleas, flies, cluster flies, millipedes, mites, mosquitoes, pillbugs, silverfish, sowbugs, termites, bees, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, fire ants, hornets, scorpions, sod webworms, spiders, ticks, and wasps.

Termite applications are limited to labeled localized above-ground infestations in wood, structural voids, trees, utility poles, and similar sites and are not a substitute for soil treatment of extensive termite infestations.

Application Notes

For structural pest treatments, a 0.1% solution is generally prepared with one 9.5 gram packet per gallon of water, while the higher 0.2% concentration uses two packets per gallon. Apply indoors only as labeled crack-and-crevice or spot treatments. Do not use as a space spray, and do not allow people or pets to contact treated areas until sprays have dried.

For outdoor perimeter treatments, apply a continuous band approximately 6 to 10 feet wide around the structure and treat the foundation up to 2 to 3 feet high where labeled pests may enter. One or two packets may be applied in 1 to 5 gallons of finished solution over approximately 800 to 1,600 sq ft depending on pest pressure and desired concentration. For fire ant mounds, apply one gallon of finished drench to mounds up to 12 inches in diameter and two gallons to larger mounds. Mosquito barriers may be applied to perimeter vegetation at 2 to 5 gallons of finished spray per 1,000 sq ft. Sod webworm applications are spot treatments only; delay mowing or irrigation for 12 to 24 hours after treatment.
