CIVITAS Turf Defense Ready-2-Mix is a professional fungicide, insecticide, and turf plant-protection product containing 98% mineral oil for golf courses, sports fields, and athletic fields. Used preventively, CIVITAS helps protect turf against important diseases and insects while supporting healthier, more resilient turf under environmental and traffic stress.

Labeled Use Sites

CIVITAS Turf Defense Ready-2-Mix is labeled exclusively for turf on golf courses, sports fields, and athletic fields. It may be used on healthy, actively growing cool- and warm-season turfgrass according to label directions. It is not labeled for commercial sod production, seed production, research turf, residential lawns, or other non-labeled turf sites.

Target Diseases & Pests

Labeled turf diseases include anthracnose, brown patch, crown rust, dollar spot, Fusarium patch, gray leaf spot, large patch of zoysia, leaf spot and melting-out, necrotic ring spot, powdery mildew, Pythium blight, red thread, Rhizoctonia leaf spot or mini ring, gray and pink snow mold, southern blight, spring dead spot, summer patch, and additional labeled diseases. Disease-specific rates and tank-mix requirements vary.

The label also includes suppression of Annual Bluegrass Weevil, Banks grass mites, mealybugs, mites, cutworms, sod webworms, and fall armyworms. The insect table specifically classifies these uses as turf insect suppression rather than universal stand-alone control.

Application Notes

CIVITAS Turf Defense Ready-2-Mix must be used with CIVITAS Harmonizer™ at a ratio of 16 fl oz of CIVITAS to 1 fl oz of Harmonizer. Apply in 1 to 5 gallons of total spray volume per 1,000 sq ft and maintain sufficient agitation to keep the spray mixture uniformly emulsified. Apply preventively to healthy, non-dormant turf before disease, insect pressure, or environmental stress becomes severe.

Typical disease rates range from 8 to 16 fl oz of CIVITAS per 1,000 sq ft, with higher rates used for certain diseases and conditions. Avoid applications when turf is under severe stress, when temperatures are near freezing, or during extended periods of extreme heat and humidity. Use caution on Poa annua and colonial bentgrass during stressful conditions. Do not apply through irrigation systems or by air.
