ChampION++ Fungicide/Bactericide is a professional copper fungicide and bactericide containing 46.1% copper hydroxide, equivalent to 30% metallic copper. Its high-density water-dispersible granule formulation uses extremely small, uniform copper particles to provide excellent crop coverage and multi-site contact protection against a broad range of fungal and bacterial plant diseases.

Designed for commercial agriculture, greenhouse, nursery, ornamental, orchard, vegetable, berry, vine, tree, and specialty-crop programs, ChampION++ delivers effective copper protection at comparatively low product use rates. ChampION++ is currently OMRI Listed® for use in certified organic production when used in accordance with applicable organic-program restrictions and the product label.

Labeled Use Sites

ChampION++ is labeled across a wide range of agricultural and horticultural sites including citrus; berries and vines; hops; field crops; tree crops; tropical crops; vegetables; conifers including Christmas tree plantings and silviculture nurseries; greenhouse and shadehouse crops; and ornamentals grown in greenhouses, shadehouses, fields, nurseries, containers, benches, beds, and indoor or outdoor landscapes. Crop-specific restrictions, rates, retreatment intervals, and geographic limitations apply.

Target Diseases

ChampION++ controls or suppresses numerous labeled fungal and bacterial diseases including anthracnose, Alternaria diseases, bacterial blast, bacterial blight, bacterial leaf spot, bacterial spot, black rot, Botrytis blight, brown rot, Cercospora leaf spots and blights, downy mildew, fire blight, gummy stem blight, leaf curl, leaf rust, powdery mildew, Pseudomonas diseases, scab, walnut blight, yellow rust, Phytophthora brown rot, Phytophthora foot rot, bacterial canker, needlecasts, Phomopsis twig dieback, bacterial fruit blotch, and many additional crop-specific diseases. Some uses, including citrus canker and certain other diseases, are suppression claims rather than full control.

Application Notes

Apply ChampION++ in sufficient water to obtain thorough coverage of the target crop. Rates vary substantially by crop and disease, generally ranging from approximately 0.5 lb to more than 10 lb per acre depending on the labeled use. Maintain spray-tank agitation during mixing and application. ChampION++ may be applied by ground, aerial application where permitted, or approved sprinkler chemigation systems according to crop-specific directions.

Do not apply ChampION++ in spray solutions below pH 6.5 because crop injury may occur. Copper-sensitive crops and varieties should be treated according to specific label precautions. Unless a crop-specific direction states otherwise, no additional surfactant is required. Organic growers must also follow applicable organic-certification restrictions, including requirements intended to minimize copper accumulation in soil.
