Valagro Axilo Fe is a professional water-soluble chelated iron micronutrient fertilizer designed to help correct and prevent iron deficiencies in turf, ornamentals, vegetables, fruit crops, nut crops, field crops, forage grasses, and other labeled crops. Formulated with 13.0% chelated iron derived from iron EDTA, Axilo Fe provides plant-available iron in a dry soluble microgranule form for foliar and root applications.

Iron is essential for chlorophyll formation, photosynthesis, enzyme activity, and strong plant color. Axilo Fe is compatible with a wide range of fertilizers and pesticides, but the label recommends performing a compatibility jar test before mixing, especially with phosphorus fertilizers.

Target Deficiency

Axilo Fe is designed for correction and prevention of iron deficiency. Iron deficiency commonly appears as chlorosis, especially yellowing between leaf veins while veins remain greener. In turf and ornamentals, iron deficiency may show as weak color, pale growth, reduced vigor, and poor visual quality.

Application Notes

For soil applications, Axilo Fe may be used with starter fertilizers, surface-applied by sprayer and cultivated into the soil immediately after spraying, or mixed into a slurry and impregnated onto granular fertilizer. Jar testing is recommended, and mixture compatibility is at the user’s risk, especially with phosphorus fertilizers.

For foliar applications, Axilo Fe may form a stable mixture with pesticides, and foliar fertilizers when compatibility is confirmed. Do not apply when crops are under water stress; application after irrigation or rainfall is best. Do not apply to plants bearing mature fruit until it has been determined that the product will not damage or mark the fruit.

Recommended Tank-Mix Note: Perform a compatibility jar test before mixing, especially with phosphorus fertilizers. Add buffer to solutions over pH 6.5 according to label mixing directions.
Recommended Surfactant: ProSurf 90 may be used when Axilo Fe is applied alone and a nonionic wetting agent is needed. The label states that if the product is applied alone, a nonionic wetting agent should be added according to the wetting-agent manufacturer’s directions.
