Arena 0.25 G Granular Insecticide
Arena 0.25 G Insecticide is a professional systemic granular insecticide containing 0.25% clothianidin for broad-spectrum control of turf and ornamental insect pests. As an IRAC Group 4A neonicotinoid, Arena provides long residual, soil-active protection against white grubs, billbugs, Annual Bluegrass Weevil larvae, chinch bugs, sod webworms, cutworms, crane flies, nuisance ants, and other important turf pests.
Designed for professional turf, golf-course, sod-farm, landscape, and ornamental programs, Arena 0.25 G may be used preventively before peak egg hatch or curatively after egg hatch and visible turf damage. Its ready-to-spread granular formulation is applied with calibrated granular equipment and activated by irrigation or rainfall to move the active ingredient into the thatch and root zone where target insects are feeding.

Labeled Use Sites
Arena 0.25 G is labeled for turfgrass in industrial, commercial, and residential landscapes including airports, athletic fields, cemeteries, commercial sod farms, golf courses, home lawns, parks, and playgrounds. It is also labeled for landscape ornamentals, interior plantscapes, shrubs, bedding plants, flowering plants, foliage plants, groundcovers, evergreens, ornamental trees, non-bearing fruit trees, non-bearing nut trees, and non-bearing vines in landscapes.
Target Pests
Turf pests include Annual Bluegrass Weevil larvae, billbugs, Black Turfgrass Ataenius larvae, Phyllophaga species, spittlebugs, white grubs including Asiatic garden beetle, European chafer, Green June beetle, Japanese beetle, Northern masked chafer, Oriental beetle and Southern masked chafer, armyworms, chinch bugs, American and European crane flies, cutworms, nuisance ants, sod webworms, and mole crickets for suppression.
Ornamental and plantscape targets include adelgids including Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, fungus gnat larvae, glassy-winged sharpshooter, lace bugs including azalea lace bug, leaf beetles, leafhoppers, leafminers including boxwood and serpentine leafminers, mealybugs, psyllids including Asian citrus psyllid, root weevils including Black Vine Weevil, roundheaded borers, soft scales, thrips including chilli thrips, Western flower thrips for suppression, whiteflies, and Oriental beetle grubs.
Application Notes
For turfgrass, apply Arena 0.25 G at 80 to 160 lb per acre depending on the target pest, pest stage, and desired level of control. Preventive grub applications should be made through peak egg hatch. Use the upper end of the rate range when applications are made 60 days or more before peak adult flight or egg laying, or when applications are made after egg hatch or after visible turf damage has developed.
Follow turf applications with sufficient irrigation or rainfall to move the active ingredient through the thatch and into the soil profile. Do not mow until after irrigation or rainfall has occurred. For landscape ornamentals and interior plantscapes, apply to moist soil and irrigate thoroughly after application to dissolve the granules and move clothianidin into the root zone. Do not exceed 160 lb per acre per season.
