Aloft LC G Granular Insecticide

Aloft LC G Granular Insecticide is a professional dual-active turf and landscape insecticide containing clothianidin and bifenthrin for broad-spectrum control of soil- and surface-feeding insects. By combining systemic Group 4A activity with contact Group 3 pyrethroid chemistry, Aloft provides preventive and curative control of multiple insect life stages including white grubs, Annual Bluegrass Weevil, billbugs, chinch bugs, armyworms, cutworms, sod webworms, ticks, and other listed turf pests.

The ready-to-spread granular formulation provides flexible timing from early-season preventive programs through later curative applications. Aloft LC G delivers long residual activity, and properly timed applications can provide season-long white grub control while also protecting landscape ornamentals from root-, soil-, and foliage-feeding insects through systemic root uptake and contact activity.

Features & Benefits

✓ Combines clothianidin 0.250% and bifenthrin 0.125% in one professional granular insecticide

✓ Two modes of action provide systemic and contact control across multiple insect life stages

✓ Long residual activity can provide season-long white grub control with properly timed applications

✓ Ready-to-spread granular formulation works with standard rotary or drop spreaders

✓ Also provides systemic protection of landscape ornamentals when activated and moved into the root zone

Labeled Use Sites

Aloft LC G is labeled for lawns and landscape ornamentals around residences, business complexes, industrial complexes, airports, playgrounds, schoolyards, parks and recreation areas, athletic fields, cemeteries, and arboretums. It may also be applied to ornamental trees, non-bearing fruit and nut trees, woody shrubs, landscape beds, and perimeter areas adjacent to structures. The current label does not permit use on golf courses, sod farms, commercial nurseries, commercial greenhouses, or grass grown for seed.

Target Pests

Turf and lawn pests include Annual Bluegrass Weevil adults and larvae, nuisance ants, armyworms, billbugs, Black Turfgrass Ataenius, chiggers, chinch bugs, cutworms, European crane fly, grasshoppers, leafhoppers, mole crickets, pillbugs, sod webworms, sowbugs, spittlebugs, sugarcane grubs, ticks, white grubs, and Red Imported Fire Ants.

Landscape ornamental targets include aphids, azalea lace bug, beet armyworms, beetles, Black Vine Weevils, caterpillars, centipedes, crickets, cutworms, Diaprepes, earwigs, fall armyworms, flea beetles, Florida wax scale, glassy-winged sharpshooter, gypsy moth caterpillars, Japanese beetles, leafhoppers, leafminers, leafrollers, mealybugs, millipedes, pillbugs, plant bugs, root weevils, soft scales, whiteflies, and white grubs.

Application Notes

For general turf applications, apply Aloft LC G at 1.8 to 3.6 lb per 1,000 sq ft, equivalent to 80 to 160 lb per acre. For early-season control of Annual Bluegrass Weevil and full-season white grub control, label rates generally range from 2.3 to 3.6 lb per 1,000 sq ft. White grub treatments are most effective when applied near peak adult activity, egg laying, or early larval development.

For existing grub populations, irrigate after application with enough water to move the active ingredient into the root zone where grubs are feeding. For surface-feeding pests, do not water in for at least 24 hours unless the target pest is located in the thatch. Apply uniformly with a properly calibrated drop or rotary spreader. Do not exceed 160 lb per acre, or 3.6 lb per 1,000 sq ft, per year.
