4-Speed XT Selective Herbicide

4-Speed XT Herbicide is a professional selective postemergence herbicide combining four active ingredients—2,4-D, triclopyr, dicamba, and pyraflufen-ethyl—for fast, broad-spectrum control of difficult broadleaf weeds in managed turf. Its HRAC Group 4 + Group 14 chemistry delivers visible weed injury within 24 to 48 hours while controlling tough species such as wild violet, ground ivy, spurge, oxalis, dandelion, clover, and many other labeled weeds.

Designed for established cool- and warm-season turf, 4-Speed XT is labeled for residential and commercial lawns, golf courses, athletic fields, parks, cemeteries, sod farms, roadsides, rights-of-way, and other professional turf and non-crop sites. The four-way active-ingredient blend combines rapid activity with translocation for dependable postemergence performance against actively growing broadleaf weeds.

Labeled Use Sites

4-Speed XT is labeled for established ornamental turf lawns in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional settings; golf courses; athletic and sports fields; parks; cemeteries; sod farms; roadsides; highways; rights-of-way; and similar turf or non-crop areas. Golf-course uses include fairways, aprons, tees, roughs, and labeled bentgrass putting-green applications at the specified reduced rate.

Application Notes

For established bahiagrass, bluegrass, common bermudagrass, fescue, ryegrass, and zoysiagrass, apply 3 to 4 pints per acre, equivalent to approximately 1.1 to 1.5 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft. For closely mowed bentgrass, including labeled putting-green use, apply 1.8 pints per acre, equivalent to approximately 0.67 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft. Apply to young, actively growing weeds for best results.

Do not mow turf for 1 to 2 days before or after application so adequate leaf surface remains for herbicide uptake and translocation. For optimum results, avoid application when rainfall is expected within 4 hours and delay irrigation for 24 hours. Broadcast applications above 90°F may cause temporary turf injury. Surfactants or wetting agents may improve weed control, but the label warns that they can also reduce turf selectivity and increase the potential for injury.
