Tandem Insecticide is a professional dual-action insecticide that combines the fast knockdown of lambda-cyhalothrin with the systemic activity of thiamethoxam to provide broad-spectrum control of more than 90 structural, turf, and ornamental pests. Featuring Syngenta's advanced iCAP Technology™, Tandem utilizes microencapsulated lambda-cyhalothrin for extended residual performance while thiamethoxam delivers systemic control of plant-feeding insects and secondary pest reduction. Tandem is formulated as a unique ZC technology combining a suspension concentrate (SC) and capsule suspension (CS) formulation. The dual-walled microcaps provide both immediate and long-lasting insect control while protecting active ingredients from heat, UV degradation, and environmental stress. Ideal for structural pest control professionals, lawn care operators, and landscape managers, Tandem provides exceptional control of ants, cockroaches, spiders, mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, chinch bugs, grubs, billbugs, mole crickets, aphids, scales, whiteflies, and many other listed pests. Its systemic activity also targets honeydew-producing insects, reducing a key food source that supports ant infestations.

Application Notes

Tandem may be applied as a perimeter spray, crack-and-crevice treatment, spot treatment, foam application, turf spray, ornamental spray, or soil application according to label directions. For turfgrass applications, use 2–10 gallons of water per 1,000 sq ft depending on target pest and treatment objective. Maintain adequate soil moisture before and after application for optimum performance. For ornamental pests such as aphids, scales, mealybugs, and whiteflies, Tandem may be applied to foliage or soil, where systemic uptake provides extended control and reduces honeydew production that supports ant populations.

Why Choose Tandem?

Tandem delivers the benefits of two proven modes of action in a single formulation. Lambda-cyhalothrin provides rapid knockdown and residual protection while thiamethoxam delivers systemic control of plant-feeding insects. Combined with iCAP Technology™, Tandem offers long-lasting performance across structural, turf, and ornamental pest management programs while helping reduce callbacks and retreatments.
