Valagro Axilo Mg (0-0-0) is 6% chelated magnesium (Mg) for corrections of magnesium deficiencies.The Axilo line (100% EDTA-chelated) of water-soluble micro-granule micronutrients are characterized by improved plant availability, handling convenience, shelf-life stability, high solubility and tank-mix/low spray volume compatibility compared to other products on the market.

Magnesium is a pivotal element in plant biology, primarily because it forms the central atom of the chlorophyll molecule, essential for photosynthesis. This central role in chlorophyll synthesis means magnesium is directly involved in capturing light energy and converting it into chemical energy. Beyond its role in photosynthesis, magnesium also plays a vital part in enzyme activation and is involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates and in the synthesis of nucleic acids and proteins. A deficiency of magnesium in plants typically manifests as interveinal chlorosis in older leaves, where the areas between the veins turn yellow while the veins themselves remain green. This symptom occurs because magnesium is a mobile nutrient within the plant, and in case of a shortage, it is translocated from the older leaves to the younger, more actively growing leaves. In severe cases, the affected leaves might develop reddish or purple patches due to the accumulation of anthocyanins, and leaf margins may curl upward.
